This is Not a Retreat

This 9-day immersion is a partnership with the Kichwa Napusamai community. It is a chance to receive from the wisdom of the Ecuadorian Amazon and offer something in return. It is designed to reset the nervous system, imprint cellular memory, and catalyze collective care.

Carlene Kanellis

Carlene Kanellis is a somatic healer, Breathwork practitioner and spiritual guide devoted to creating spaces where people can remember their own medicine. Rooted in Celtic and Nordic lineage and shaped by the wisdom of Mayan and Native traditions, her work bridges ancient ritual with modern healing. Through ritual, breath and ceremony, Carlene offers grounded, soulful guidance for people longing to be seen, held, and reconnected to their power.

Known for her down-to-earth presence and reverent approach, Carlene weaves together nervous system healing, spiritual practice, and honest conversation. Her spaces are tender and real, where grief and joy, mystery and mess, laughter and tears are all welcome. This is more than her work; it’s her living prayer.

Niza Disla

Founder of Meraki Path, Niza blends two decades of executive leadership with sacred remembering. Bronx-born with Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Mexican roots, her work is grounded in Mayan and Taíno lineage and shaped by deep ties to the Ecuadorian Amazon. Known for bridging boardrooms and ceremony, she offers living, breathing invitations into embodied connection, ancestral reverence, and reciprocal healing.

The Land + Plants

Primary teachers in this immersion.

Alive with memory and encoded wisdom, the land and plants of the Ecuadorian Amazon are central to this work. These living teachers hold stories, medicines, and frequencies that guide each participant home to deeper remembrance. Every leaf, root, river, and breath is part of the ceremony.

Kichwa Maestros

Don Luis, Doña Ines, Juan, and Irene are multi-generational wisdom keepers of the Kichwa Napusamai Community. Together, they offer an authentic lineage-based container for plant medicine, rooted in ancestral tradition, lived experience and embodied gnosis. With reverence, they guide participants through sacred ceremonies, weaving protection, prayer, and medicine with deep care. This is their lifework passed through blood, earth, and spirit.
